More than 180 farmers and primary production based business owners have attended BMO’s “The Farmer Wants a Life” seminars across the Western Downs to get the latest tips on retirement planning, reducing tax, structuring their finance , financial protection and employment obligations.

Great reviews have been received by the attendees of the “The Farmer Wants a Life” seminars in Jandowae, Dalby, Condamine and Moonie, including Kate Boshammer, a local website designer, who also works with husband Justin, on their cattle operation near Condamine.

“There were great speakers across a range of interesting and important topics – very worthwhile.

Another participant, Mrs Anne Bridle of Talbingo west of Dalby, also praised the session.

I appreciate and sincerely thank you for the information provided tonight. It certainly highlighted areas most important and critical to our business." she said.

BMO Partner Peter McKinnon said the sessions were designed to help farmers and rural-based businesses get some important tips for running a successful enterprise and how to plan for the future without letting stress get in the way.
